Job Summary

We are seeking a Support Line Officer to join our Information & Support Team. As a Support Line Officer, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to individuals affected by terminal illness, their families, and friends. You will be responsible for responding to a variety of enquiries, providing information and resources, and directing individuals to the support they need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to enquiries from individuals affected by terminal illness, their families, and friends, providing personalized support and information.
  • Utilize resources available through the Marie Curie Information and Support Service, as well as other trusted sources, to address enquiries and provide support.
  • Apply relevant safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals contacting the helpline.
  • Accurately record information into the database, ensuring data quality and data protection guidelines.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, caring, and compassionate approach.
  • A genuine interest in helping others, with patience, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment, with a patient and resilient approach.
  • Background in office administration or customer service experience, preferably in a charity, health, or social care setting.
  • Experience in a customer care or helpline role is beneficial.
