Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at The Recruitment Co. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaising with Clients: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure timely and efficient communication of shipment requests and updates.
- Transportation Management: Coordinate with transportation providers to arrange for the importation and exportation of commodities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation.
- Documentation and Administration: Prepare and complete all necessary documentation, including customs declarations and delivery documentation, using third-party software or government portals.
- Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, hauliers, agents, and carriers, ensuring prompt communication of problems and updates.
- Data Entry and Invoicing: Accurately enter data into our operating system, 'Datafreight.Net', and prepare invoices for clients.
- Team Support: Assist the Manager/Director in training and supporting new employees in the role of Logistics Coordinator.
- Logistics Experience: Ideally, some form of logistics experience or knowledge is required, although not essential.
- Customer Service and Administration: Previous customer service and administration experience in an office environment is essential.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to work effectively with clients, hauliers, agents, and carriers.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous attention to detail is essential to ensure accurate data entry and documentation.
- Self-Discipline and Reliability: Self-discipline, reliability, and the ability to work to set time frames, often out-of-office hours, are required.
