Job Overview
This is a permanent position for a Diabetes Specialist Nurse working within primary care settings. The ideal candidate will have experience managing diabetes patients and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinics in community settings, such as GP practices and health centers
- Optimize oral therapy for Type 2 diabetes patients
- Refer patients for specialist insulin treatment when necessary
- Exercise corporate nursing responsibilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 3 years' experience managing diabetes patients
- Knowledgeable in education, support, and advice provision for Type 2 diabetes patients
- Familiarity with optimising oral hypoglycaemics
- Current NMC registration and full driving license
