Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate nurse to take on a challenging role in paediatric diabetes care. As a Clinical Diabetes Specialist for Paediatric Care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to children with Type 1, Type 2, and Rare Diabetes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the multidisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive care to children with diabetes, working closely with parents and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in managing complex diabetes cases, including rare conditions.
  • Participate in daily shift systems, incorporating outpatient telephone on-call and weekend rotas, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Collaborate with primary healthcare teams, shared-care centres, and multi-disciplinary teams to provide coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of best practices in paediatric diabetes care.
Requirements

To succeed as a Clinical Diabetes Specialist for Paediatric Care, you must have:

  • A nursing degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven expertise in paediatric diabetes care, with a strong understanding of its complexities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • A valid nursing registration and any relevant certifications.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £43,000 - £56,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
