Job Title: Pediatric Endocrinology Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Endocrinology Specialist to join our team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will provide expert care for children with endocrine disorders, including rare forms of diabetes.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality endocrine and diabetes clinical services for inpatients and outpatients
  • Contribute to the delivery of national rare diabetes services for conditions such as Bardet Biedl and Alstrom syndrome
  • Work closely with the existing team to provide tertiary trained paediatric endocrinology & diabetes expertise
  • Share inpatient advice and regional/supra-regional advice when requested

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for full registration to practice with the GMC
  • Hold or be within 4 months of CCST or equivalent in Paediatric Endocrinology
  • Excellent practical knowledge of paediatric diabetes management and education
  • Tertiary training in paediatric endocrinology & diabetes

Salary: £120,000 - £170,000 per annum
