Detailed Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with complex needs.

Essential criteria:

  • Graduate or equivalent experience

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria:

  • Management of change (planning and implementation)
  • Experience of redesigning services
  • Budget / financial management
  • Experience of managing staff

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria:

  • High level verbal communication skills including negotiation skills
  • Written communication (literacy and numeracy) skills in report writing, business cases and implementation plans
  • IT literate
  • Knowledge of PAS or equivalent hospital system
  • Budgetary / Equipment / Resource management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Team player with leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to develop staff and create a positive employment environment to encourage effective performance
  • Ability to operate and think laterally at a strategic level with good analytical skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with health professionals within the Trust and external organisations
  • Personal initiative, drive and resourcefulness
  • Ability to balance competing demands
