Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of our occupational therapy services.
Main Responsibilities
- To develop and implement occupational therapy services that meet the needs of our patients and service users.
- To work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
- To identify and develop opportunities for service improvement and innovation.
- To manage and lead a team of occupational therapists to achieve our service goals and objectives.
- To develop and maintain effective relationships with our stakeholders, including patients, families, carers, and external partners.
Key Skills and Qualities
- High level of expertise in occupational therapy practice and service development.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of managing teams and leading service improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Person Specification
- Graduate or equivalent experience in occupational therapy.
- Postgraduate qualification in occupational therapy or a related field (desirable).
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of the NHS and its policies and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands.
