Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of our occupational therapy services.

Main Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement occupational therapy services that meet the needs of our patients and service users.
  • To work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
  • To identify and develop opportunities for service improvement and innovation.
  • To manage and lead a team of occupational therapists to achieve our service goals and objectives.
  • To develop and maintain effective relationships with our stakeholders, including patients, families, carers, and external partners.

Key Skills and Qualities

  • High level of expertise in occupational therapy practice and service development.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of managing teams and leading service improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Person Specification

  • Graduate or equivalent experience in occupational therapy.
  • Postgraduate qualification in occupational therapy or a related field (desirable).
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of the NHS and its policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands.
