Key Responsibilities- Assess and develop treatment plans for individuals with mental health conditions, focusing on occupational dysfunction and rehabilitation.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, psychologists, and psychiatrists, to provide comprehensive care.
- Supervise and support Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and Activity Coordinators to ensure effective delivery of occupational therapy services.
- Participate in service development and contribute to the growth and development of the Occupational Therapy department.
- Engage in continuous professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based interventions in occupational therapy.
- Registered Occupational Therapist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions, particularly in acute care settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage complex clinical presentations and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Passion for student education and training, with a willingness to mentor and support junior staff.
