Detailed Job Description
This is a challenging and rewarding role for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our therapy services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with a range of conditions and needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and well-being.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for patients.
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures to minimize the risk of harm to patients.
- Providing education and training to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals on occupational therapy principles and practices.
Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education with GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent qualifications.
- Administrative experience in a hospital environment.
- Experience of working to and implementing local policies and procedures.
- Understanding of information governance and confidentiality.
Desirable Criteria
It would be beneficial if you have:
- Administrative experience in an Endoscopy department or a Bowel Cancer Screening Centre.
Skills, Abilities and Attributes
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Excellent professional and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to plan and manage own work schedule.
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to demonstrate initiative.
