Detailed Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our therapy services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patients' needs and developing personalized treatment plans to promote independence and well-being.
  • Providing expert occupational therapy services to patients, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for patients.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior occupational therapists to ensure they receive the necessary support and guidance.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of occupational therapy policies and procedures.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Education with GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent qualifications.
  • Administrative experience in a hospital environment.
  • Experience of working to and implementing local policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of information governance and confidentiality.

Knowledge and Experience

You will also need to have:

  • Administrative experience in an Endoscopy department or a Bowel Cancer Screening Centre.
  • Excellent professional and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to plan and manage own work schedule.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to demonstrate initiative.
