About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Practitioner to join our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of our waiting list by engaging with patients and providing motivational support to overcome barriers to pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Deliver pulmonary rehabilitation classes in a range of community venues across North East Essex, with the potential to work evenings to meet the needs of the local population.
  • Conduct home visits to patients for assessment and review, within your scope of skills and expertise.
  • Assist with the quality monitoring of the service, including data entry and report running for the National Audit of Respiratory programme.
  • Support the development and implementation of our pulmonary rehabilitation service, including the review and improvement of our service to meet accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • A good standard of education, including a Support Workers Access Course or NVQ Level III/Level 1 or equivalent experience.
  • HND/Foundation Degree in sports/exercise therapy or working towards.
  • Experience of working in a fitness industry, rehabilitation setting, or healthcare environment, with knowledge of respiratory conditions and experience of community and hospital work.
