We are seeking a skilled nurse to join our Orthopaedic and Trauma team as an Orthopaedic Trauma Nurse Coordinator.

In this role, you will oversee the management of all trauma patients, ensuring compliance with the designated trauma pathway for each individual, while effectively managing surgical schedules to provide exceptional Orthopaedic Trauma services.

The ideal candidate will be a driven professional eager to enhance their nursing expertise. A dynamic and enthusiastic approach is essential to uphold best practices and maintain high standards of patient care at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities within the organization, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective management of patients through the orthopaedic emergency pathway.
  • Enhance surgical scheduling, minimize cancellations, and reduce pre-operative fasting times.
  • Facilitate effective communication both internally and externally regarding patient care and available resources.
  • Foster strong working relationships with other healthcare professionals, including theatre teams, site matrons, clinical flow managers, and advanced clinical practitioners within the orthopaedic team.

  • Demonstrated post-registration experience in orthopaedics/trauma.
  • Proven experience working at Band 6 level.
