Colchester, Essex, United Kingdom East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

This role includes a recruitment incentive of £2000 pro rata (conditions apply)

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a Band 7 fixed-term or secondment position aimed at executing a health inequalities project focused on asthma management for children and young individuals.

We seek dedicated and skilled professionals who are adaptable practitioners within community environments, demonstrating strong teamwork abilities and fostering collaborative relationships with various healthcare providers, services, and organizations.

Your role will involve close collaboration with a diverse array of disciplines and organizations, including educational institutions, social services, non-profit organizations, and both primary and secondary healthcare.

Clinical supervision and a comprehensive induction process will be provided.

This position is based in a designated area, with the expectation of some cross-site responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

You will be integrated within children's services, taking charge of the Asthma in Children and Young People project as part of the Trust's Inequalities Initiative.

Direct clinical involvement and expertise in pediatric asthma management will be essential.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring that schools, GP practices, and potentially pharmacies in the designated areas are supported in achieving asthma kite mark standards.

You will assist primary and secondary care in managing referrals for children with inadequate asthma control, aiming to enhance asthma health outcomes and reduce non-elective admissions to healthcare facilities. Your work may take place in either acute healthcare settings or community environments as needed.

Our Staff Health and Wellbeing program offers a variety of services.
