Paediatric Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist support to our asthma and allergy service, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that children receive the highest standard of care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating the Service: You will be responsible for coordinating the service, running nurse-led clinics for patients from diagnosis through to treatment and follow-up.
- Providing Clinical Advice: You will act as an advisor to healthcare staff on matters relating to patient management, providing clinical, professional advice.
- Developing Clinically Effective Care: You will promote the development of clinically effective care that is seamless between primary and secondary care settings.
- Assessing Patients: You will assess patients, select, carry out, and interpret the end results of specific tests in conjunction with the Lead Nurse and Paediatrician.
- Providing Innovative Practice: With the support of the Lead Nurse, you will demonstrate and utilize specialist skills and knowledge to provide innovative practice in paediatric asthma and allergy.
- Ensuring Continuous Service: You will ensure a continuous service to children and young people is offered in the hospital and in the community as required.
