Position Overview
We are excited to announce a unique opportunity to become part of a well-respected and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team dedicated to the evaluation and management of pediatric patients with asthma and allergy disorders.
We seek a dedicated and skilled Nurse Expert to deliver specialized assistance to our asthma and allergy services, managing an established caseload of children throughout the region. The successful candidate will collaborate within a multi-disciplinary framework to guarantee that children receive exemplary care and support.
This is a full-time permanent position, though part-time arrangements may be considered for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities
To facilitate the coordination of services and conduct nurse-led clinics for patients from initial diagnosis through treatment and follow-up care
To serve as a consultant to healthcare professionals regarding patient management and to offer clinical and professional guidance
To foster the development of clinically effective care that ensures a seamless transition between primary and secondary healthcare settings
To evaluate patients, select, perform, and interpret specific tests in collaboration with the Lead Nurse and Pediatrician
With the support of the Lead Nurse, demonstrate and apply specialized skills and knowledge to deliver innovative practices in pediatric asthma and allergy care
To ensure a continuous service is provided to children and young people in both hospital and community settings as necessary

Experience
Essential
- Experience in managing asthma and respiratory conditions
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Proven post-basic experience as a band 5 or band 6 pediatric nurse
- Experience in mentoring and supervising other professionals
- Evidence of implementing change management to enhance patient experience
Desirable
- Proven management experience
Knowledge

- Strong clinical knowledge of current issues affecting children with asthma and allergy conditions
- Clear understanding and commitment to clinical governance
- Ability to articulate understanding of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and its application to clinical practice
- Understanding of managing clinical risk
Qualifications

- RSCN / RN Child Branch
- BSc
- Qualification in Asthma/Respiratory care (with proven experience in the specialty)
- Mentorship or teaching equivalent

- Non-medical Prescribing
