Job Title: Children's Community Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Children's Community Specialist Nurse to join our team in East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist support to the asthma and allergy service, assisting with an existing caseload of children across North East Essex.

The ideal candidate will have proven post-basic experience of working as a band 5 or band 6 paediatric nurse, with a sound clinical knowledge of current issues affecting children with asthma and allergy conditions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the co-ordination of the service and running nurse-led clinics for patients from diagnosis through to treatment and follow-up.
  2. Acting as an advisor to healthcare staff on matters relating to patient management and providing clinical, professional advice.
  3. Promoting the development of clinically effective care that is seamless between primary and secondary care settings.
  4. Ensuring a continuous service to children/young people is offered in the hospital and in the community as required.
