About the Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Development Policy Officer to join our team at Economicsnetwork. The successful candidate will have a strong background in development economics and experience in policy analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in economics, public policy, development studies, or a related field, with a focus on development economics or political economy. Relevant work experience can compensate for a lack of formal qualifications.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing policies to support economic growth and poverty reduction in Africa and developing countries
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including multilateral organisations, international financial institutions, and government agencies
  • Writing research papers and projects on themes related to economic development in Africa and developing countries

A salary of £60,000 - £75,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive pension scheme, life insurance, and generous annual leave.
