Overview
South and Vale District Councils is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Enquiries Planning Officer to join their Planning Policy team. This is an entry-level role that offers a diverse and interesting range of tasks, as well as opportunities to develop professionally.

The successful applicant will be part of a team working on the Joint Local Plan, which aims to address key issues such as climate change, nature recovery, and affordable housing. The candidate will act as the primary contact for managing enquiries received by the Planning Policy Team and assisting in topics or sections in the plan and evidence base.

This is an ideal opportunity to work alongside knowledgeable colleagues to gain key skills and experience to further a career in town planning. The role involves supporting the preparation of neighbourhood plans, public consultations, and other activities that the team is involved in.

The salary for this role is approximately £28,000 per annum, based on the location of Abingdon and the grade of the position.
