About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to join our Talent & Culture team at George P. Johnson UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting and driving the Talent & Culture strategic aims across the organisation.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to build excellent relationships and ensure that Talent & Culture is viewed as a key partner in delivering our objectives. This will include advising on HR matters and employment law, supporting the resolution of ER issues, and implementing Talent strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure Talent & Culture is viewed as a key partner in delivering our objectives.
  • Advise senior stakeholders and managers on HR matters and employment law, and educate them on how to manage ER.
  • Support the resolution of ER issues, monitoring risk and escalation where appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Head of Talent and Culture to implement Talent strategies and initiatives.
  • Support and implement UK-specific projects and initiatives to deliver objectives.
  • Drive recruitment processes and maintain a commercial perspective when reviewing the talent pipeline.
  • Oversee the pre-boarding and onboarding of talent.
  • Ensure compliance by reviewing and implementing new policies and procedures within the company handbook.
  • Manage the UK sponsorship licence and applications.
  • Implement Talent initiatives to the wider business with the support of the wider Talent team.
  • Oversee and approve payroll for the UK.
  • Manage the annual insurance renewal process.
  • Manage the annual 'Stay Interviews' process, analysing data to identify key themes and recommendations for the Leadership team.
  • Oversee and manage quarterly 'Vibe Checks', identifying and feeding back findings and recommendations to the Leadership team.
  • Support the PDP review process, ensuring timely reviews and agreed objectives.
  • Support employee communications.
  • Implement employee evaluations and gather feedback to devise and implement initiatives to address employee engagement issues.
  • Advise on appropriate engagement models in line with IR35 regulations.
  • Manage and respond to IR35 appeals.
  • Devising and implementing Learning and Development programmes to support talent development and business gaps.
  • Support the wider implementation of Workday and streamlining of systems.
  • Implement talent mapping exercises where appropriate.
  • Line manage the Talent & Culture Executive.

About You

  • You have proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders, advising on all matters of HR processes and procedures.
  • You have up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
  • CIPD HR Management qualification (Level 5 or 7) is highly desirable.
  • You have experience using HR software, ideally Workday.
  • You have experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a creative agency environment would be advantageous.

Work Pattern

  • The role is open to both full-time and part-time applications (4 days per week).
