Position: Special Educational Needs Teacher

We are expanding our SEND services and are in search of a dedicated and skilled SEND Teacher to enhance our team.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a qualified SEND Teacher who possesses a wealth of experience in delivering exceptional educational experiences to children with SEND, particularly those who are non-verbal and have high needs. The successful candidate will oversee our SEND initiatives and lead a team of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs).

Key Responsibilities of the SEND Teacher:

  • Oversee and manage the SEND initiatives throughout the educational institution.
  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and external specialists to provide holistic support for SEND students.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of SEND LSAs, offering guidance, training, and professional development.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive educational environment.
  • Evaluate and track student progress, modifying strategies as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to SEND regulations and institutional policies.

Requirements for the SEND Teacher:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and supporting students with SEND, particularly those who are non-verbal and autistic.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A dedication to inclusive education, with the ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive disposition.
