Our commitment is to cater to the diverse needs of all students, especially those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are expanding our SEND services and are in search of a dedicated and skilled SEND Teacher to enhance our team.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a qualified SEND Teacher who possesses a wealth of experience in delivering exceptional educational experiences for children with SEND, particularly those who are non-verbal and have significant needs. The successful applicant will oversee our SEND initiatives and lead a team of SEND Learning Support Assistants (LSAs).

Key Responsibilities of the SEND Teacher:

  • Oversee and manage the SEND initiatives throughout the educational institution.
  • Create and execute tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that meet the unique requirements of each student.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, families, and external specialists to provide comprehensive support for students with SEND.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of SEND LSAs, offering guidance, training, and professional development.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive educational environment.
  • Evaluate and track student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to SEND regulations and institutional policies.

Requirements for the SEND Teacher:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and supporting students with SEND, particularly those who are non-verbal and autistic.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep commitment to inclusive education, with the ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues.
  • Attributes of patience, creativity, and a positive outlook.
