We are expanding our SEND services and are in search of a dedicated and skilled SEND Teacher to enhance our team.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified SEND Teacher with a proven track record in delivering exceptional educational experiences for children with SEND, especially those who are non-verbal and have high needs. This role involves leading our SEND initiatives and supervising a team of SEND Learning Support Assistants (LSAs).

Key Responsibilities of the SEND Teacher:

  • Oversee and direct the SEND program throughout the school.
  • Create and execute tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, families, and external specialists to provide comprehensive support for SEND students.
  • Guide and mentor a team of SEND LSAs, offering training and development opportunities.
  • Encourage a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Evaluate and track student progress, modifying strategies as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to SEND regulations and institutional policies.

Requirements for the SEND Teacher:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and assisting children with SEND, particularly those who are non-verbal and autistic.
  • Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A dedication to inclusive education, with the ability to inspire both students and colleagues.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive outlook.
