Special Education Teacher

At GSL Education, we are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team in Colchester. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of students with special educational needs (SEND).
Your primary focus will be on delivering specialized teaching tailored to meet the individual needs of students across primary and secondary schools. You will create engaging lessons that align with the curriculum, preparing students for success in their studies and future academic goals.
As a Special Education Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering specialized teaching to students with SEND needs
* Developing and implementing lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum
* Supporting students in one-to-one or small group settings
* Helping students understand and engage with the syllabus according to key stages
* Monitoring and assessing student progress and adapting teaching methods accordingly
To excel in this role, you will possess:
* QTS or equivalent degrees such as PGCE, NQT, or ECT
* A Bachelor or Master’s degree in any field
* Prior experience as a SEN Teacher
* Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
