About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Communications and Campaigns to join our team at the Marine Conservation Society. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that enhances our brand, raises mission awareness, and drives behavior and policy changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a communications strategy that engages and inspires our audience to support our conservation goals
  • Lead a team of communications professionals to deliver effective marketing and fundraising campaigns
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and recruitment for the Communications and Campaigns team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing campaigns that drive behavior and policy changes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, influencers, and partners
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications and campaign management

Requirements

  • Proven experience in communications and campaign management, with a strong track record of success
  • Experience leading communications teams and managing budgets
  • Strong understanding of marketing and fundraising principles and practices
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
