Our community midwives are advocates for natural childbirth and the integration of alternative therapies, ensuring the best outcomes for women. If you are eager to innovate and expand your midwifery expertise within a collaborative community setting, this position may be ideal for you.

Flexibility is essential, as the role requires the ability to operate across a broad area and participate in an on-call schedule to support various birthing environments.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking dedicated registered midwives to become part of our Community Midwifery Team. The ideal candidate will possess enthusiasm, compassion, and the ability to work independently while demonstrating exceptional clinical skills. You will be responsible for managing a designated caseload of women, delivering comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care in both home and midwife-led settings, ensuring one-on-one support during labor.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered Midwife with current NMC registration in the UK
  • Proven experience in full-time midwifery practice
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting student midwives

  • Certification in Examination of the Newborn

Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience in managing a caseload of women

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in providing care for home births or low-risk intrapartum scenarios
