We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in Maternity Services as a Vaccination Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a safe and effective vaccination service to our patients, promoting health and well-being through vaccination and immunisation.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver flu and pertussis vaccinations to patients, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- Conduct clinical assessments and observations to identify potential health risks and ensure safe vaccination practices.
- Collaborate with the Band 3 Immunisation Administrator to improve vaccination uptake and develop strategies to increase patient engagement.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of vaccination protocols, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with national and local guidelines.
- Provide skilled and evidence-based care, adhering to agreed policies and procedures, and using clinical judgement to keep patients safe.
- Work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills and promoting excellent team and interdisciplinary relationships.
- Manage and prioritise workload, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining accurate records.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife on the UK Register.
- 1 year experience practicing post-registration.
- Experience in a healthcare clinical setting, preferably in vaccinations/immunisation service provision.
- Knowledge of vaccination/immunisation protocols, policies, and procedures.
