Are you driven by a desire to positively impact the lives of others? We are looking for a dedicated Community Support Advocate to join our team.
In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting vulnerable individuals who are navigating complex health and social care challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing effective verbal and written advocacy on behalf of clients.
- Collaborating with various public and voluntary organizations to facilitate support.
- Taking proactive measures to resolve client concerns.
This position requires adaptability, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. We offer comprehensive training, necessary equipment, and the chance to obtain the IAP (Independent Advocacy Qualification).
Work Schedule: Part-Time: 29.6 hours, Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Requirements for the Community Support Advocate:
- Strong communication and time management skills for effective remote work.
- Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn new software.
- Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in advocacy, information provision, or a related field within health, social care, or the voluntary sector.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations.
- Familiarity with public and voluntary organizations.
Benefits:
- Salary: £18, with a full-time equivalent of £23,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Benefits.
- 25 days of annual leave (pro rata), with the option to purchase up to 5 additional days.
