OVERVIEW:

AtkinsClarke is excited to partner with a rapidly expanding services organization in North Birmingham to recruit a new Financial Operations Manager.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Our client is a dynamic and ambitious private equity-backed group of service providers. Following a recent investment, they have significantly increased their revenue projections and have set ambitious targets for further growth.

In light of this expansion, they are enhancing their finance team, leading to the creation of this new Financial Operations Manager position.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a result of the exciting growth and increased demands on the finance department, this newly established role will be pivotal in the development of the team.

Collaborating closely with the CFO and Group Financial Controller, the Financial Operations Manager will ensure the delivery of accurate financial information across the portfolio while also developing the function to effectively partner with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing a small finance team with comprehensive P&L and balance sheet accountability
  • Producing management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary for senior management, addressing any inquiries
  • Conducting full balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts on a monthly basis
  • Managing banking operations, processing payments, and providing weekly cash flow reports
  • Handling payroll journals and reconciling accounts with payroll reports
  • Assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Consolidating group accounts across various regions, including year-end and statutory accounts
  • Facilitating the integration of new acquisitions into the organization, ensuring standardized processes
  • Enhancing processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Providing ad-hoc support for post-acquisition accounting and integration

  • Be a Fully Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ ACMA

  • Possess advanced Excel proficiency
