Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Management Assistant to join our Financial Reporting team at Walsall Housing Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and drive financial performance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Support the production of high-quality and accurate group management accounts, including reporting to senior management and the Board in accordance with the reporting timetables.
- Financial Analysis: Produce the monthly management accounts for operations and central services functions, analyzing financial performance against key business metrics and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Business Partnering: Adopt a business partnering approach to operations and central services functions, providing high-quality financial information and advice.
- Budgeting: Prepare the annual budget for operations and central services functions.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a small high-performing team through training and continuous professional development using whg's Performance Management Framework.
Requirements:
- Professional Qualification: A professional qualification in accountancy (i.e., membership of a relevant CCAB body or equivalent).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to produce analytical information in a format that can be understood by non-financial colleagues.
- Time Management: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, producing results to deadlines.
- Experience: Experience of preparing management accounts information and responding to the needs of budget holders.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and manage a small high-performing team.
