Position Overview

We are collaborating with a reputable organization in the housing sector, seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to focus on employee engagement and relations. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary of up to £47,000 per annum and the flexibility to work from home for up to 3 days each week.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert coaching and support to management in addressing various employee relations matters, ensuring adherence to fairness, consistency, and legal standards, particularly in complex cases.
  • Leading initiatives related to change management and organizational development.
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert, applying extensive knowledge to evaluate risks and inform strategic decisions.
  • Enhancing the understanding of employee relations through knowledge sharing and coaching.
  • Building strong relationships with management to encourage proactive engagement on employee issues, allowing for timely and effective resolution.
  • Identifying and addressing business challenges, requiring excellent communication skills and a commitment to relationship-building.
  • Gathering feedback to enhance HR services and improve employee experiences.
  • Supporting workforce planning, including succession planning and talent development, in collaboration with the Learning & Development team.
Required Expertise

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience managing a wide range of complex employee relations cases, with a proven track record as a subject matter expert.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and established processes.
  • A solid foundation in general HR practices, including administration and comprehensive HR processes.
  • Experience in engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • A customer-centric approach to HR partnering, delivering both operational and strategic support.
  • A history of successfully implementing innovative HR solutions that align with business objectives in a dynamic environment.
  • A minimum of CIPD Level 5 qualification.

Working Hours

The role requires:

  • A commitment of 37 hours per week.
  • Standard working days from Monday to Friday.
  • Core hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.
