Employee Relations Specialist

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in advocating for equitable treatment of all staff members. Immerse yourself in the vibrant field of Employee Relations and Employment Policy, collaborating closely with Line Managers, ER Delivery Managers, and HR Business Partners to design and execute effective solutions. Your contributions will be essential in mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to regulations. Additionally, you will work alongside external partners such as Occupational Health to provide timely and necessary services. Become an integral part of our mission to fulfill People Team objectives and foster a positive, compliant workplace environment.
Location : Dunstable campus, 5 days a week.
Salary : £30,000 - £33,000

Provide Employee Relations guidance via phone and email, leveraging knowledge of employment legislation, company policies, and business needs. Utilize coaching skills to comprehend case contexts and respond to managers, identifying any gaps. Assist Line Management in enhancing employee relations capabilities. Follow up on actions to address inquiries, ensure adherence to advice, provide support, and confirm case resolution. Identify potential risks and escalate them to the relevant manager or ER Specialist. Review cases to pinpoint risks, capability gaps, or process enhancements, and advise on fair and consistent employment policies.Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of Employee Relations experience. Strong grasp of UK Employment Law. Excellent communication abilities, with a pleasant telephone demeanor, composure under pressure, and adaptability in coaching or guiding. Familiarity with ER/HR employment policies and procedures. Proficient understanding of data protection regulations regarding rights requests. Capability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Join Our People Team at Whitbread
