Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at Whitbread. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair treatment for all employees and maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on employment law, company policy, and business requirements to Line Managers and ER Delivery Managers.
  • Support the development of employee relations capabilities within the organization.
  • Identify and escalate risks to the appropriate manager or ER Specialist.
  • Review cases to highlight risks, capability gaps, or process improvements, and advise on fair and consistent employment policies.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in Employee Relations or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of UK Employment Law.
  • Excellent communication skills, with good telephone manner, calmness under pressure, and flexibility in coaching or directing.
  • Knowledge of ER/HR employment policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in data protection regulations for rights requests.
  • Ability to influence at all levels.
