Job Title: Branch Sales Assistant

As a Branch Sales Assistant at Travis Perkins, you will play a crucial role in developing a sales strategy that focuses on proactive customer development, lapsed customer re-engagement, and attracting new customers to maximize profitable sales. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to execute the plan, engaging branch colleagues to grow and bring additional sales value to the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage and inspire branch colleagues to support the sales strategy, ensuring they are professional, friendly, and enthusiastic.
  • Understand local competition to harness opportunities and develop strong sales propositions that meet customer needs.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers to ensure ongoing profitability.
  • Liaise with suppliers to create local commercial plans that seek to create profitable sales.
  • Ensure the safety of all colleagues and customers by adhering to all stay safe policies and procedures.
  • Support the Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager in managing aspects of the branch and business.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within a builders' merchant is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Ability to provide great customer service by building effective relationships and working as part of a team.
  • Transferable skills such as sales experience, great customer service, and inspirational leadership.
