Position Overview:
We are seeking a Global Category Manager to join our esteemed Global Procurement Team within the Aerospace Group. This role is pivotal in steering the global category strategy for Outside Processing Suppliers (OSP) within our Aerospace Procurement Organization.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Global Category Manager, you will take charge of the technical and commercial leadership of OSP strategies. Your primary goal will be to optimize conditions related to cost, quality, delivery, and innovation for the Direct Material category by leveraging resources across various Aerospace Businesses.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating and executing commodity strategies that align with corporate and divisional objectives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce overall costs.
  • Building and nurturing supplier relationships to foster strategic initiatives and cross-business synergies.
  • Managing key strategic supplier contracts and relationships, including those with sub-suppliers and partners.
  • Implementing innovative supply chain solutions tailored to specific needs.
  • Ensuring supplier compliance with sustainability programs and corporate policies.
  • Conducting annual profit planning and long-term strategic planning for managed spend.
  • Developing innovative business solutions and forecasting commodity trends to achieve procurement metrics.
  • Creating global communication strategies to share procurement opportunities and standards with senior management.
  • Performing spend analysis and supplier assessments to validate commodity strategies.
  • Providing support to new program teams regarding specifications and schedules.
  • Leading supplier business reviews to evaluate performance and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace requirements and the ability to identify trends within the category.
  • Proven experience in deploying category strategies and driving cost efficiencies.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to innovate in category management.
  • Excellent relationship-building and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
  • Professional certifications related to Supply Chain.
  • An MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain.
  • Multilingual capabilities.
  • Experience in negotiating within a global business context.
  • Experience in Category Management and the Outside Processing sector.
