Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Global Category Manager to join our esteemed Global Procurement Team within the Aerospace Group. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the global category strategy for Outside Processing Suppliers (OSP).

Key Responsibilities:
As the Global Category Manager, you will take charge of the technical and commercial leadership of OSP strategies. Your focus will be on achieving optimal conditions regarding cost, quality, delivery, and innovation for the Direct Material category by leveraging synergies across our Aerospace divisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating and executing commodity strategies that align with corporate and divisional goals to enhance supply chain efficiency and resilience.
  • Building and nurturing supplier relationships to foster strategic initiatives and implement cross-business synergies.
  • Managing key supplier contracts and relationships, including those with sub-suppliers and OSP providers.
  • Implementing innovative supply chain solutions to optimize inventory management.
  • Ensuring supplier compliance with sustainability programs and procurement policies.
  • Leading annual profit planning and long-term strategic planning for managed spend.
  • Developing innovative business solutions and forecasts to meet procurement metrics.
  • Conducting spend analysis and supplier assessments to validate commodity strategies.
  • Providing support to new program teams regarding specifications and costs.
  • Negotiating cost models with suppliers to optimize total acquisition costs.
  • Leading annual supplier business reviews with strategic partners.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Aerospace requirements and the ability to identify trends within the category.
  • Proven experience in deploying category strategies and driving cost efficiencies.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and leadership skills.
  • Creative and critical thinking abilities to develop new approaches in category management.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
  • Professional Supply Chain certifications (e.g., CPM, CPIM).
  • An MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain.
  • Multi-lingual capabilities.
  • Experience in negotiating within a global business context.
  • Experience in Category Management and the Outside Processing environment.
