What is the role about?
As a vital member of our Retail team, you will take on the role of Concession Supervisor at John Lewis, overseeing the concession's performance and ensuring it meets its targets through operational and commercial excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategizing long-term goals for the concession
- Overseeing overall concession operations and performance metrics
- Leading the concession team to provide an exceptional customer experience through personalized service
- Managing inventory levels and making strategic decisions to minimize loss
- Ensuring adherence to promotional, sales, and merchandising standards
- Taking charge of recruitment and talent retention
- Conducting regular performance and probation reviews
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in retail management within a similar operational scale
- A passion for premium or luxury products is advantageous, though all retail backgrounds are welcome
- Proven success in enhancing overall business performance
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service through effective team leadership
- Strong visual merchandising and commercial product management skills
- Ability to balance customer service, operational, technical, and visual aspects of the role
- Comfortable working under pressure in a dynamic retail environment
- Self-motivated, focused, and driven to achieve both team and individual objectives
- Excellent people management skills to inspire and develop your team
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
