We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our Property and Maintenance Team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Work Schedule: 39 hours per week

Work Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with an early finish on Fridays)

Compensation: £12.00 per hour or £24,336.00 annually

Location: Primarily based in Aberdeen City, with responsibilities across various properties in the southern region.

Additional Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid UK Driver's License, as the role involves travel to multiple sites. Access to personal transport is preferred, but applicants without their own transport who hold a valid UK driver's license will also be considered. Role Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will deliver routine and proactive maintenance services across all VSA establishments and their grounds, addressing domestic repairs and maintenance tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and address potential maintenance issues.
  • Establish and implement a maintenance routine in consultation with management.
  • Recognize maintenance challenges beyond personal expertise and escalate them appropriately.
  • Collaborate with management to address any emerging maintenance concerns.
  • Utilize initiative to propose cost-effective solutions for maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine domestic maintenance and repairs using a variety of DIY skills.
  • Maintain site grounds, including footpaths and drainage systems, and assist with garden upkeep.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Carry out additional duties as needed, within the scope of the role.
  • Provide emergency repair services as available.

Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of general property maintenance and DIY tasks.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
