Job Overview

We are seeking a Domestic Maintenance Technician to support our Offshore Operations on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

ESS Energy, a division of Compass Group UK and Ireland, is a leading provider of catering and support services within the Energy Sector. We excel in delivering food and support services to major enterprises engaged in Oil, Gas, and Renewable energy.

Our operations extend across the North Sea and beyond, encompassing fixed production platforms, flotels, floating production storage and offloading facilities, mobile offshore drilling rigs, and construction & pipe-laying barges.

The Domestic Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in delivering maintenance services while strictly following health and safety protocols and regulations.

The responsibilities include performing a variety of maintenance tasks to maintain our service excellence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, including reporting of accidents and incidents.
  • Execute joinery, glazing, painting, decorating, and plumbing maintenance tasks as required.
  • Conduct safety inspections and general maintenance as necessary.
  • Source and procure spare parts and equipment as needed.
  • Utilize machinery, equipment, and materials safely and correctly.
  • Work efficiently to deliver services to established standards, using available resources effectively.
  • Inform the line supervisor of any defects or maintenance needs within assigned areas.
  • Engage in industry training and development, attending relevant courses and supporting safety initiatives.
  • Participate in inspections and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform additional duties within your competency as directed by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • BOSIET/FOET certification
  • MIST certification
  • OEUK Medical and Food Handlers Medical
  • Shoulder Measurements
  • Advanced First Aid Certification
  • Fully qualified or time-served in at least one trade (e.g., joinery, plumbing, electrical) with a minimum of 2 years of experience
