Job Overview

We are seeking a Domestic Maintenance Technician to enhance our Offshore Team on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

ESS Energy, a division of Compass Group UK and Ireland, stands as a premier provider of catering and support services within the Energy Sector. We excel in delivering food and support services to significant enterprises in the Oil, Gas, and Renewables industries.

Our operations extend across the North Sea and beyond, encompassing fixed production platforms, flotels, floating production storage and offloading facilities, mobile offshore drilling rigs, and construction & pipe-laying barges.

The Domestic Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in delivering maintenance services while strictly following health and safety protocols.

This position involves executing a variety of maintenance tasks to maintain our service excellence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act, ensuring timely reporting of accidents and incidents.
  • Carry out joinery, glazing, painting, decorating, and plumbing maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Perform safety inspections and general maintenance duties as required.
  • Procure and order spare parts and equipment as needed.
  • Utilize machinery, equipment, and materials safely and correctly.
  • Work efficiently to meet service standards, optimizing available resources.
  • Inform the line supervisor of any defects or maintenance needs within assigned areas.
  • Engage in industry training and development, attending relevant courses and supporting safety initiatives.
  • Participate in inspections and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Take on additional responsibilities within competency as directed by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • BOSIET/FOET certification
  • MIST certification
  • OEUK Medical and Food Handlers Medical
  • Shoulder Measurements
  • Advanced First Aid Certification
  • Fully qualified or time-served in at least one trade, such as joinery, plumbing, or electrical work, with a minimum of 2 years of experience
