Job Title: Logistics and Supply Chain Lead

Location: Flexible working arrangements available.

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulating effective procurement strategies that align with the overarching Infrastructure Construction objectives.
  • Providing strong leadership and direction, fostering a productive environment for team success.
  • Overseeing the procurement and contracting process, including the development of tender documentation, assessment, and contract award.
  • Managing Framework Agreements, ensuring optimal commercial performance of contractors, and nurturing relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Negotiating and finalizing agreements with external suppliers, contributing to bidding processes to meet budgetary goals.
  • Implementing supplier relationship management practices, ensuring regular supplier evaluations and oversight.
  • Coordinating throughout the entire procurement cycle, effectively communicating and resolving issues with customers and suppliers.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in supply chain management within the construction sector.
  • Thorough understanding of JCT and NEC Construction contracts.
  • Proven track record in developing construction strategies.
  • Knowledge of procurement methodologies, processes, and policies.
  • Experience in managing contract and supplier performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a team of supply chain professionals.

Desirable:

  • Experience on the client side.
  • Professional qualifications such as MRICS or equivalent.
  • MCIPS certification.
  • Experience in public sector or regulated environments.
