Position Overview:

Purchasing Support Specialist - Global Retailer
Office Based
Competitive Salary

Full Time Role - 40 hours per week.

Role Summary:

+ Maintain and update digital records while generating reports for the purchasing team.
+ Analyze weekly inventory reports and monitor item restocking and purchase orders.
+ Manage vendor agreements and promotional contracts.
+ Liaise with regional offices, suppliers, and team members to gather information and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Main tasks include:

+ Establish and maintain item and vendor records by entering data into the system.
+ Update records for changes in pricing, terms, descriptions, and addresses. Input figures for weekly departmental summaries.
+ Review inventory reports by location weekly, checking for items with zero or negative sales. Coordinate with the warehouse to address stock discrepancies and track resolutions.
+ Set up and monitor item replenishment and purchase orders in the system to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
+ Distribute vendor contracts and promotional agreements for signatures and track their return.
+ Communicate with regional purchasing offices, depots, warehouses, suppliers, and team members to gather information and resolve issues.
+ Support Buyers and Assistant Buyers in merchandising initiatives as needed.
+ Transport sample merchandise to and from storage as required.
+ Assist in various departmental tasks as necessary.

Required Skills:

+ Preferred degree-level education.
+ Strong numerical skills are essential.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with good negotiation abilities.
+ Proficient in computer applications, particularly word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word and Excel), as well as internet and email usage.
