About the Role

Bournemouth & Poole College is seeking a passionate and driven CreaTECH Curriculum Leader to guide our dynamic Media, Digital, and Computing programs. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education within these exciting fields.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine our innovative CreaTECH curriculum, ensuring it remains at the forefront of industry trends and student needs.
  • Cultivate a vibrant and engaging learning environment that fosters student success and inspires a love of technology.
  • Champion a culture of recognition and celebration, motivating both students and staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Lead with empathy and understanding, actively listening to feedback from students and colleagues to drive continuous improvement.
  • Inspire and empower your team of expert instructors, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Monitor student progress, retention, and attendance, implementing effective strategies to address any challenges.
  • Conduct comprehensive self-assessments and lead the development and implementation of quality improvement plans.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, contributing actively to college leadership discussions.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining a high standard of student experience.
  • Collaborate with the Student Support team to enhance student retention and well-being.
  • Champion positive student behavior and implement appropriate disciplinary procedures when necessary.
  • Analyze student data and provide insightful reports to inform decision-making.
  • Offer academic and pastoral support to students, making referrals as needed.
  • Lead and organize parent evenings and open events, fostering strong relationships with families.

  • A relevant degree-level qualification and a teaching qualification suitable for post-16 education.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and training.
  • A strong track record as an effective teacher or lecturer.
  • Experience in leading teams to success, both within industry and/or education.
  • Expertise in curriculum management, development, and innovation.
  • Strategic planning and implementation skills.
  • A comprehensive understanding of national education policy and its impact on post-16 learners.
