Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mathematics professional to join our team as Head of Mathematics Department at Wayman Group. As a key member of our education recruitment agency, you will play a vital role in shaping the Mathematics curriculum and ensuring the delivery of outstanding learning experiences for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Mathematics department, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional Mathematics curriculum
  • Provide strategic direction and support to Mathematics teachers, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress and attainment in Mathematics
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
  • Mentor and support Mathematics teachers in their professional development
  • Contribute to the school's Mathematics program and extracurricular activities
  • Maintain accurate records of student data, including attendance, behavior, and achievements

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialization in Mathematics or a related field
  • Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (preferred)
  • Significant experience teaching Mathematics, preferably in a leadership role
  • Proven leadership and management abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics, with the ability to deliver outstanding lessons
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in Mathematics education
