About the Role

As a Data Protection Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure robust data protection across various systems. Working within the VMware, Storage, and Backup team, you'll play a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting storage and backup systems to meet service level agreements (SLAs).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure scalability and performance of storage and backup environments.
  • Monitor system operations and generate utilization reports.
  • Maintain storage and compute policies and standards.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Keep the infrastructure up to date with regular patching and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Experience with multi-vendor SAN Storage and Enterprise Backup technologies.
  • Knowledge of corporate backup environments such as Dell IDPA, Veeam Backup, and Zerto.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Windows platforms.
