Mortgage Collections Officer - Inside IR 35 - £180 PD

Our client, a leading financial services corporation, is seeking a Mortgage Collections Officer to join their team. As a Mortgage Collections Officer, you will be responsible for managing mortgage arrears and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Engagement: Discuss with customers how and why their account is in arrears, identifying root causes and future barriers, while ensuring dialogue is in keeping with the company's treating customers fairly principles.
  • Financial Support: Effectively undertake all aspects of Financial Support in the end-to-end arrears management journey.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements for mortgage arrears, with a priority on achieving fair customer outcomes.
  • Team Development: Act as a coach and role model, supporting the development of less experienced team members.
  • Personal Development: Carry out personal development to keep your own skills up to date.
  • Departmental Performance: Support achievement of departmental SLA's and refer any issues/concerns on a timely basis.
  • Risk Management: Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation's Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility, and demonstrate in your day-to-day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.
  • Data Governance: Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation's Data Governance Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility, and demonstrate in your day-to-day work that you treat data as an important corporate asset which must be protected and managed.
Key Experience:
  • Financial Support Environment: Recent experience working within a Financial Support environment in a secured lending/mortgage services focusing on buy to let / residential mortgages is essential.
  • Complex Financial Support: Previous experience of undertaking complex financial support, litigation and receivership activities, including holding and using your own delegated authority to support customers is essential.
  • Mortgage Collection Life-Cycle: Proven capabilities in the full mortgage collection life-cycle is a must.
  • Debt Management Certification: Accreditation via any applicable Debt Management certification or Apprenticeship is desirable but not essential.
  • MI Collation and Output Production: Previous experience of MI collation and output production is desirable.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Previous experience of coaching and mentoring is desirable.
  • Microsoft Skills: Intermediate skills in respect of Microsoft Word and Excel are essential.
