About the Position
In this exciting opportunity, you will enhance the performance of our Convenience division, which encompasses over 2,000 locations and continues to grow. Collaborating across various departments, you will deliver comprehensive solutions, whether it's partnering with the Stores leadership team to refine operational frameworks, working with Product teams to boost sales, or coordinating with the Property team on new store developments, all driven by data-informed insights.

Your Responsibilities
Collaborating with the Stores leadership to formulate and execute strategies across three critical areas:
  1. Adopting a long-term perspective on our operational model to identify future risks and opportunities, including regulatory changes, technological advancements, and shifts in consumer behavior.
  2. Fostering strategic thinking within our UK Convenience Business, which includes over 2,000 express stores, 1,000 One Stop Stores, and approximately 7,000 Booker Retail Partners across various brands.
  3. Overseeing our ESSO business by working with the team to clarify the roles of these locations and their integration within the overall estate.
Evaluating and scrutinizing proposals for Express investments, ensuring that additional investments are properly tracked and their benefits clearly understood. Driving enhancements and simplification of processes and the finance operating model, collaborating with finance teams to ensure seamless delivery. Creating financial models to support decision-making and analyze sensitivities.Qualifications Required
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Experience in finance with a focus on driving strategic initiatives within large, complex organizations. Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders. Advanced financial analysis and modeling skills, with a knack for identifying trends and deriving actionable insights from data. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment and adept at managing complex challenges. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
