Collaborating across various functions, you will deliver comprehensive solutions, whether it involves working with the Stores leadership team to refine operational frameworks, partnering with Product teams to boost volume in the format, or coordinating with the Property team on new store developments. Your efforts will be supported by data-driven insights and analytical thinking.
Your Responsibilities
Co-managing with the Stores leadership to formulate and execute strategies across three critical domains:
- Adopting a long-term perspective on our operational model to identify future risks and opportunities, including increased regulations, technological advancements, or shifts in consumer behavior.
- Fostering strategic thinking throughout our UK Convenience Business, which encompasses over 2,000 express stores, 1,000 One Stop Stores, and approximately 7,000 Booker Retail Partners across Premier, Londis, and Budgens symbols.
- Overseeing our ESSO operations, collaborating with the team to define the roles of these locations and their integration within the broader estate.
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Experience in finance with a focus on driving strategic objectives in large, complex organizations. Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders. Advanced financial analysis and modeling capabilities, with a knack for identifying trends and deriving actionable insights from data. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment and tackle complex challenges. Excellent communication skills with the capacity to influence and motivate action.
