Job Title: Head of Finance

Location: Welwyn Garden City/Hybrid

Duration: 4 months initially

The Role:

This role supports the Online Leadership team in developing and delivering in-year financial and operating performance targets and long-term strategic plans.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of qualified finance professionals and expert data analysts to influence the business to optimize performance and support the development of long-term strategic plans.
  2. Develop strong working relationships with finance peers and non-finance stakeholders, including the Online Leadership Team, Online Strategy/Business Planning, UK and Group Central Finance, and Investor Relations.
  3. Drive forward the performance of the Online channel by developing and evolving weekly performance walls and shaping insight into clear actionable outcomes off the back of performance reporting.
  4. Act as a trusted partner to the Online directors, understanding their longer-term objectives and analytical needs, and prioritizing these requirements to ensure the resulting insights are shared widely, understood, and acted upon.
  5. Identify independent areas where analytics can improve the performance of the business, such as customer lifetime value, category performance, and seasonal trade.
  6. Work alongside data engineering teams to develop the data structure required to deliver meaningful insights as new elements are launched to the customer proposition.
Requirements:
  1. Experience partnering senior stakeholders.
  2. Strong FP&A skills.
  3. Experience working with big data sets.
  4. Negotiation and prioritization skills.
  5. Stakeholder management skills.
  6. Strategy development skills.
  7. Communication skills (written and verbal).
  8. Ability to tell compelling stories in a simple way.
  9. Data management skills.
  10. Decision-making skills.
  11. Financial acumen.
