Job Title: Lead Financial Strategist - Online Business

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Duration: 4 months initially

The Role:

This role supports the Online Leadership team in developing and delivering in-year financial and operating performance targets and long-term strategic plans. The successful candidate will lead a team of qualified finance professionals and expert data analysts to influence the business to optimize performance and support the development of long-term strategic plans.

  1. This role oversees the management of financial and operational KPIs, working closely with the Online Leadership Team, Online Strategy/Business Planning, UK and Group Central Finance, and Investor Relations.
  2. From a finance perspective, this role leads a team responsible for management accounts, in-year forecasts, budget, and long-term plans. The successful candidate will develop strong working relationships with finance peers and non-finance stakeholders.
  3. From a Business Performance perspective, this role leads a team of analysts to drive forward the performance of the Online channel. Specifically, this covers:
  4. Developing and evolving weekly performance walls and shaping insight into clear actionable outcomes off the back of performance reporting.
  5. Acting as a trusted partner to the Online directors, understanding their longer-term objectives and analytical needs, prioritizing these requirements, and ensuring the resulting insights are shared widely, understood, and acted upon.
  6. Identifying independent areas where analytics can improve the performance of the business, such as Customer lifetime value, category performance, and seasonal trade.
Requirements:
  1. Experience partnering senior stakeholders.
  2. Strong FP&A skills.
  3. Experience working with big data sets.
  4. Negotiation and Prioritisation.
  5. Stakeholder management.
  6. Strategy development.
  7. Communication skills (written & verbal).
  8. Ability to tell compelling stories in a simple way.
  9. Data management.
  10. Decision making.
  11. Financial acumen.
